MICHIANA REGION INDUSTRY: This letter is sent as an invitation to take part in Michiana Partnership’s biennial Wages and Benefits Survey.
Economic development organizations from St. Joseph, Marshall and Elkhart counties in Indiana, as well as Berrien and Cass counties in Michigan are working together to offer this service to their industries for the 3rd edition.
This survey is comprehensive and will collect actual wage information for 150 positions in management, production, technology, health, transportation and other areas. The benefits section compiles information on health insurance plans and costs, time off, retirement plans, financial incentives, workplace practices such as training opportunities, wellness incentives and child care assistance, and other areas.
Once the surveys are completed the information is confidential. The material will be collected by a third-party consultant that has provided these services for many economic development organizations. Then the data is reviewed and information that identifies employers is separated from the survey data. We strongly feel that your participation is crucial part of this assessment and encourage you to take the time to be accurate and thorough so that we will have a good representation from Michiana area employers.
The online survey, although detailed, is easy to complete and employers are provided with a complimentary report containing the aggregate data. The survey is taken online at www.WagesBenefitsSurvey.com/michiana. When you register, you will be asked to enter a survey code. The survey code is JD985he4 and is case sensitive.
The survey website will be open from May 1 through May 31, 2017. After you register, you will be able to print out the survey pages so you may compile the information offline. You will also be given instructions on how to save and return to the survey as you complete sections. The results will be published in mid-August.
Companies and organizations that participated in our 2015 regional survey will be able to open and update the previous survey data. On the registration page, after selecting the county, there is a “returning employer” box in which you will need to enter either your unique user number or the e-mail used to register for the previous survey, along with the password you assigned yourself.
If you need help retrieving your login information, getting started or have questions as you proceed, please contact the survey coordinator, Bill Wilson, via email at twothingsllc@gmail.com or by phone at 574-339-8533.
Thank you in advance for your participation. The survey is comprehensive and we ask for you to consider committing the time necessary to complete the survey. The outcome will be beneficial to your organization, your County and the Michiana region as a whole.
Best regards,
