Name of Business: The Purple Grill

Business Description: I create a food fusion of Soul Food, Latin, and Asian, that I combine two cultures or more into one dish.

At what point did you realize the dream of your business was real?: In 2015, when I started to cook and cater for other people who liked, paid, and asked me for more.

Share a business lesson you have learned: I have to be more creative and persistent, because the food business is extremely competitive.

Are you from the South Bend-Elkhart region?/ Why did you come or stay in the area?: I moved here from Michigan with my parents, and I stayed because I bought a home here.

Share your favorite business resource. Why is it your favorite?: My favorite business resource is Shelton’s farm market. It’s my favorite because I know the food is fresh, great and locally grown.
