$100 million in new economic impact is within our grasp. $100 million every year. All we have to do is reduce our real costs for business travel.
Look at this snapshot of the 1st and 2nd quarters of 2018. Diverting our money from the Chicago and Detroit economies back to our own is already making a difference.
We've also added new direct flights to Dallas and Charlotte since Project Propel was launched. Now, let's turn up the fire and keep $100 million in our own cities and towns every year.
If you haven't forwarded a copy of your company's new Fly Local policy to us, please take the time today. We're sharing copies at our next press conference and then with all the airlines. Your policy will help us convince them to add more flights, larger aircraft and more frequent service.
Click on the button below to download a template that you can use to create your own Fly Local policy. It's a simple, single-page document that you can modify however you like. Do what's best for you.
Your support will compel airlines to increase frequency of existing service, bring in larger aircraft and open even more direct routes to and from our region—routes like Washington, DC, Denver, and others. This will lower costs even further for all of us at the same time.
