Education and training are cornerstones to our region’s future economic success. As an employer, understanding our talent ecosystem and how all of the components work together are key to your success as well. Our region’s development and access to talent, training and education will be examined at the Chamber’s 2023 State of Higher Education: Opportunities & Possibilities Through Education, sponsored by Barnes & Thornburg.

Chris Lowery, Indiana’s Commissioner for Higher Education will join us to discuss the state’s goals and efforts as part of the HOPE (Hoosier Opportunities & Possibilities Through Education) Agenda. We’ll also discuss how local post-secondary colleges and universities/training providers, K-12, employers and others are essential to the HOPE Agenda.

Following the discussion with Chris Lowery, we’ll continue the fireside chat by inviting our area campus leaders to join in on a conversation to look at our post-secondary environment in the region, including the availability of programs/resources that are filling the region’s talent and workforce needs, examples of collaborations/best practices and more.
