The South Bend Regional Chamber is excited to continue our collaboration with The Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership to present a virtual professional development series for interns across northern Indiana! The sessions are free of charge and cover a wide range of topics – interns are encouraged to participate in all sessions, but are welcome to attend whenever it works with their schedule!

About this session: Implicit bias is the unconscious attribution of particular qualities to a member of a certain social group. Implicit stereotypes are shaped by experience and based on learned associations between particular qualities and social categories, including race or gender.

We will host a conversation between interns and community leaders trained in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion practices addressing implicit bias and how it relates to people’s personal and professional lives.
